Igor joined VMware in April 2018. In his role, Igor is specifically focused on partnering with state, local and education government organizations to help them realize their overall business goals and objectives and maximize the value received from their investment in VMware solutions.
Igor has over 25 years of IT experience, including CIO roles in both higher education and state government. Most recently, Igor was CIO at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, where he led an IT modernization program transforming culture, process, and infrastructure. This change included relocation of the agency's legacy datacenter to a purpose-built hybrid-cloud architecture leveraging fully redundant co-location facilities in Oakbrook, IL and Ashburn, VA in close network proximity to major cloud providers. Previously, Igor was CIO at Madison College, the public community and technical college serving south central Wisconsin, and Director-Infrastructure Management at TDS Telecom.
Igor received his Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. When he's not working, he enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible at his rural home-often walking the roads or trails-or weather permitting-grooming and skiing the neighborhood trails.
