Join Google Cloud & Carahsoft as we bring State of Texas agency teams together to learn about Google Cloud Platform (GCP) application development, data analytics, and machine learning subjects from Google Cloud subject matter experts.
This training and enablement session will be hands-on, including labs and environments, hosted over 2 days from Google’s downtown Austin office. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Introduction to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for developers and architects.
Develop, build, deploy and monitor applications using Google Cloud Services via templates and other automation tools so as to minimize human operator intervention.
The session will involve GCP set-up, and CI/CD using an integrated set of Google Cloud services (Cloud Code, Build, Deploy, Cloud Run, and/or Google Kubernetes) to build and deploy custom applications.
The course includes application/infrastructure performance management and alerting using Google Cloud Operations Suite.

Track Two:
Data Analytics and AI/ML Platform
- Data Engineers
- Data Scientists
|
Create a prediction model using BigQuery Machine Learning to forecast results.
Build and deploy a TensorFlow model to Vertex AI, entity extraction and sentiment and syntactic analysis on text, integration of speech recognition into dev apps, and metadata extraction from a sample video file.
Skills learned will include: querying BigQuery tables, cloud-native data pipelines/ETL, build/train/deploy a model using Vertex AI Workbench; Jupyter notebook utilization.
Explore BigQuery public datasets; load data using Google Cloud services.
