FCW GovForward ICAM Workshop

Wednesday, August 17, 2022
08:30am - 12:10pm
220 minutes
Online

Identity takes center stage as zero trust implementations grow. Identity has been key to individual access to information for some time in government, but it has often been based on physical access cards. As the federal government now begins a move to accommodate more mobile devices in non-traditional environments, agencies are working to consolidate and update their identity systems to protect a broad range of access by individuals and devices.

Executives from the government and industry will examine new guidance from NIST on Risk Management, efforts by DOD to move beyond the CAC card, and GSA’s efforts to create a single log-in for access to most government systems.  In addition, they will learn about DHS’ playbook for Federal agencies on ICAM and the role of privileged access management.

Attendees will come away with an improved ability to:

- Apply NIST’s newly revised Risk Management guidance (SP 800-53, rev 5)
- Understand the work in progress for a single government log-in
- Assess DISA’s efforts for identity management in DOD wide systems
-Recognize how ICAM can improve customer experience
- Understand the role of biometrics in identity management
