CPC Bootcamp Prerequisites
Recommended Knowledge and Experience:
- We recommend candidates have at least six months of experience with the AWS Cloud in any role, including technical, managerial, sales, purchasing, or financial
- Candidates should have a basic understanding of IT services and their uses in the AWS Cloud platform
Note 1: The Cloud Practitioner exam will not be administered after this training – this boot camp is to help candidates better prepare for the CPC exam. Instructions on how to register and schedule your CPC exam will be included near the end of the boot camp presentation.
Note 2: The AWS Well Architected Lab will not create a sandbox environment for you. You will need an AWS account for this lab, or you can follow along. If you decide to try the lab on your AWS account, it is very important to note the 'Tear Down' section of the lab to delete the resources in order to avoid any unwanted charges from AWS.
Abilities Validated by the Certification:
- Define what the AWS Cloud is and the basic global infrastructure
- Describe basic AWS Cloud architectural principles
- Describe the AWS Cloud value proposition
- Describe key services on the AWS platform and their common use cases (for example, compute and analytics)
- Describe basic security and compliance aspects of the AWS platform and the shared security model
- Define the billing, account management, and pricing models
- Identify sources of documentation or technical assistance (for example, whitepapers or support tickets)
- Describe basic/core characteristics of deploying and operating in the AWS Cloud
Cloud Practitioner Exam Details:
- Format: Multiple Choice, multiple answer
- Type: Foundational
- Delivery Method: Online Proctored Exam Only (Due to Covid-19)
- Time: 90 minutes to complete the exam
