Today, IT organizations are adopting hybrid architectures that combine on-premises infrastructure and cloud. While this offers significant advantages, it also leads to increased environmental complexity. To deal with this complexity, IT organizations want consistent management solutions that make government clouds a transparent extension of their on-premises operations. They also expect day-to-day operational processes such as service management, issue identification and resolution, and cost optimization to function seamlessly across their entire estate, independent of the underlying cloud or on-premises infrastructure. ServiceNow delivers this consistent management framework.

In this session we will look at utilizing ServiceNow’s “service-aware” CMDB for identifying existing services for migration to the cloud. We will also look at the ongoing monitoring and governance of those migrated services, and ultimately the optimization of those cloud-based services and reducing the costs associated with them.

Who should attend? CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, Architects, anyone in IT Operations Management.

The world runs on apps, and the federal government is no exception. Low-code development make mission application creation a team sport.  It empowers teams to create powerful software applications, with a minimum of hand coding. Low-code development platforms instead rely on graphical interfaces and configuration, handling the most time-consuming aspects and empowering developers to create more, more quickly.

  • The Benefits of low-code development such as speed, productivity, agility, cost, governance, collaboration, and scaling capacity.
  • Value of low-code/ no-code - average ROI of 230%, full payback on investment within nine months.
  • Successes in low-code/no-code – low-code references and case studies.
  • Who can build with low-code/no-code? Between no-code and low-code options, practically anyone within an organization can get involved in the development process.

Who should attend? Anyone who has a mission application or who is interested in app development, not just IT.

FISMA requires CISOs to certify, through a process called Assessment and Authorization (A&A), the security of their IT systems. Each IT system is required to receive an Authority To Operate (ATO) before being connected to the Enterprise. NIST describes the process called the Risk Management Framework in SP 800-37.

In this session, you'll learn how ServiceNow Continuous Authorization and Monitoring (CAM) solves two problems – (1) Speeding the ATO process – Bringing IT systems online more quickly and (2) Giving CISOs a path to move IT systems towards Continuous Authorization, as described in NIST 800-137. We will show the development of an ATO Approval Package under 800-37, from the Prepare stage through Control Selection, Implementation, and Assessment, through Approval and Monitoring.  We’ll also show how CAM helps CISOs manage the entire ATO process, from system intake through authorization and continuous monitoring, including Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs).

Who should attend? CISO's, IT Risk Managers, Security Control Assessors, Information Systems Security Managers, Information Systems Security Officers.
