Serge Leef,

Microsystems Technology Office Program Manager, DARPA

Serge Leef joined DARPA in August 2018 as a program manager in the Microsystems Technology Office (MTO). His research interests include computer architecture, simulation, synthesis, semiconductor intellectual property (IP), cyber-physical modeling, distributed systems, secure design flows, and supply chain management. Leef came to DARPA from Mentor, a Siemens Business where from 2010 until 2018 he was a Vice President of New Ventures, responsible for identifying and developing technology and business opportunities in systems-oriented markets. Prior to joining Mentor, he was responsible for design automation at Silicon Graphics, where he and his team created revolutionary, high-speed simulation tools to enable the design of high-speed 3D graphics chips, which defined the state-of-the-art in visualization, imaging, gaming, and special effects. Leef received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and a Masters of Science degree in computer science from Arizona State University. He has served on corporate, state, and academic advisory boards, delivered numerous public speeches, and holds two patents.

Warren Savage

Visiting Researcher, Principle Investigator to DARPA AISS Program, ARLIS
Warren Savage is currently a Visiting Researcher at the University of Maryland’s Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security, primarily supporting DARPA programs as a subject matter expert on a variety of research programs. He is perhaps one of the most recognized figures in Silicon Valley having held various technical and executive roles in semiconductor, EDA, and systems companies including Fairchild, Tandem Computers, and Synopsys where he made an impact on a then-nascent semiconductor intellectual property industry. He went on to found IPextreme in 2004, a semiconductor IP commercialization company, which was sold to Silvaco in 2016. Mr. Savage holds four patents, a BS in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Miles Ward,

CTO, SADA Systems

Miles Ward is Chief Technology Officer at SADA. Miles leads SADA’s cloud strategy and solutions capabilities while entertaining his team and colleagues with his mean electric sousaphone skills. His remit includes delivering next-generation solutions and defying limits in big data and analytics, application migration, infrastructure automation, and cost optimization; reinforcing our engineering culture; and engaging with customers on their most complex and ambitious plans around Google Cloud.
Usman Qureshi,
Customer Engineer, Google Cloud
Usman Qureshi is a Federal Customer Engineer at Google Cloud and is responsible for supporting the U.S National labs and Federally funded scientific community in applying current and upcoming technologies to materialize proofs of concept and drive long-term transformations. He has over 15 years of experience in Communications and the IT industry. Prior to joining Google Cloud, Usman held a variety of engineering and leadership roles at Dell EMC.
Robert Wiggenhorn,
Customer Engineer, Google Cloud
Robert Wiggenhorn currently works at Google Cloud as a Federal Customer Engineer helping U.S. National Labs and the Federally funded scientific community adopt cloud technologies to accelerate research and development efforts. Previously, Robert ran the Professional Services team at a cyber-security start-up Bromium where he helped lead Bromium to a successful acquisition by HP Inc. Prior to Bromium, Robert was an Architect at Citrix where he focused on working with national security customers. Robert is passionate about engaging and communicating with the Federal customer community and has been privileged to be able to present at numerous industry conferences and author multiple blogs and white papers over his 10-year career as a customer-focused technologist.
