Acting Director, Innovation Portfolio, Technology Transformation Service, General Services Administration
Jacob Parcell is the Acting Director of the Technology Transformation Service's Innovation Portfolio. He serves as advisor and strategist for digital public engagement, collaborative innovation approaches and evangelizes new technology adoption. In his current role, Jacob oversees key programs such as Digital.gov, Innovation.gov, Challenge.gov, Emerging Citizen Technology Program, and CitizenScience.gov, that work towards providing federal agencies and citizens with the right resources and tools needed to build a more innovative, digital, and efficient government. In his prior role as the Director of Mobile Programs at GSA, Jacob led initiatives such as the ATARC Mobile Services Category Customer Team, a network of mobile experts from inside the government that helped illustrate how agencies can build mobile approaches from the point of view of the customer. Jacob holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and Policy from Virginia Tech.
