Perspecta

As the chief technology officer for the Civilian, State and Local (CSL) business group of Perspecta, John Cho works with CSL account chief technologists and architects as well as Perspecta scientists and offering leaders to drive thought leadership, IT strategy and deliver emerging technology solutions to CSL customers. In his previous role as the federal civilian coverage area chief technologist within DXC’s U.S. Public Sector, Cho oversaw IT technology strategy for federal and civilian clients. Prior to that, he served as the HPES Account CTO for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and NASA programs. He has worked with numerous financial services and Fortune 500 customers, including ABN AMRO, FINRA, P&G and Sprint. Cho also served as a subject matter expert in the media and entertainment space for Hewlett Packard Enterprise and has presented on emerging technologies in the gaming industry to companies such as Electronic Arts and Oracle. Cho has an extensive and diverse background anchored in the life sciences and engineering disciplines. He was a former SERS research fellow at the Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory on superconductivity and a Ph.D. candidate for biochemical engineering at the A. James Clark School of Engineering at University of Maryland. Cho earned a bachelor’s in biochemical engineering with minors in chemistry and mathematics from New Mexico State University. He is recognized as a futurist within the company, particularly around emerging technologies. His strengths include a drive for efficiency, disruptive innovation and elegant solutions to complex problems. He has a number of patents pending in analytics, computer vision, energy and robotics.
