Dr. Wharton Boyd develops, implements, and manages the strategic communications, outreach, and stakeholder engagement program for DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority and the District of Columbia's online health insurance marketplace, DC Health Link. Her work involves interactions work with DC Health Link customers, local communities groups, non-profit organizations, and faith-based institutions. She also serves as liaison to the Executive Office of the Mayor, Council of the District of Columbia, District government agencies, Federal agencies and the White House. Previously, Dr. Wharton Boyd served as Director of Communications for Mayor Vincent C. Gray, was a member of the Mayor's Executive Cabinet, and the official spokesperson for the Mayor and the Government of the District of Columbia. Recognition for her innovative efforts culminated in a finalist nomination for PR Week Awards Community Relations Campaign of the Year (2015), and gained her accolades directly from President Barack Obama.
